Negative Calories - Weight Loss Update 5-30-06

Negative Calories

Well, it's been a while since my last update. For the past few weeks, there hasn't been much progress. I've been bouncing around between 212-214 pounds. That was expected, though. Every other time I've tried to lose weight, I seem to stall at about that point.

Anyhow, this time will be different. I will get down to 180 by the end of the year. I just have to increase my exercise, and really keep an eye on what I'm eating. If I can just eliminate fatty, sugary snacks, and replace them with healthy, negative calorie foods, then I'll be just fine. But mark my words, I will reach my goal.

That's very common to bounce around a certain weight. What happens is when you eat less than what you normally do, your metabolism also decreases. That's why diets with no exercise usually work in the short run, but won't really help you in the long run.

Most of the time, people will quit their diets and do, what I call, a splurge. They'll either pig out or go back to what they've normally been eating the next day. It takes a lot longer for their metabolism to catch up to their nromal levels, so they'll gain a LOT more weight by splurging.

To correct this, try getting in exercises, which work all the muscles of your body. By exercising, you increase the nitrogen levels in your body, which increases your metabolism, and helps keep your metabolism at its normal level, when you're dieting.
